Bio

CrossFit has been a blessing in his life. While growing up, John always competed intensely at whatever sport or competition was presented to him. He was blessed to play college basketball at Pacific University and compete in two bodybuilding competitions. CrossFit has allowed him to have that edge back. Coupled with his desire to encourage and teach and his love of people, it has become a passion.
Professionally, he is an optometrist and has two practices in Ft. Worth and Southlake. His first CrossFit WOD absolutely destroyed him. Five years later all he has done is main page WODs, learning each movement by video early on; now teaches others the same functional movements that can test the most accomplished athletes to first time CrossFiters. CrossFit 24 Kids has grown and is dear to his heart; He always feels like if he knew then what he knows now!!!! John wants kids to have the knowledge to eat correctly and see it's OK to sweat and work hard. It’s a great lifestyle.

Coach Lauren

Lauren.Stone@CrossFit24.com

Bio

Lauren has always been an endurance athlete, all the way until college where she was a NCAA Nordic skiier and on the way cross country and track teams. She also competed in triathlons over the summers, with goals of completing an Ironman and qualifying for the Boston Marathon.
Four stress fractures later, Lauren decided her body was not designed to be a long distance runner. When she started CrossFit it was very hard for her to understand that you could workout for only ten minutes and get a very solid workout in. So, for her first two years of CrossFit she would go on a six mile run after class. (Not recommended).
Because Nordic Skiing is such a strength based sport, (think uphill skiing and technical downhills), Lauren had a solid background in strength training. This is what initially got her into CrossFit- she loved throwing the barbell around and feeling "strong."
Fives years after starting CrossFit, she became a true believer that less is more when it comes to volume. She loves competing at the gym and at local competitions. CrossFit is an awesome sport, because anyone can do it, and no matter where you are in your fitness journey you will always set your own goals and be your own biggest competitor!

Bio

Tricia was introduced to CrossFit by her husband in 2011, and after her first WOD, she was hooked. Having always enjoyed working out and athletic pursuits, CrossFit’s constantly varied, high intensity programming kept the boredom and routine out of working out. She received her Level 1 Trainer Certification in 2013 and loves to help others achieve their fitness goals.
Tricia is a graduate of Texas A&M University and enjoys playing tennis and many outdoor activities. She is most appreciative of how CrossFit has become a family experience with her husband Shawn, a fellow CrossFit 24 coach, and their three children-Payton, Jared and Reese, and a way to model a healthy lifelstyle.

Bio

Bonnie didn’t grow up involved in athletics, but as an adult has discovered a passion for exercise and fitness that is infectious. After playing roller hockey, running (including completing the Dallas White Rock Marathon) and being involved in a boot camp, she began CrossFit in January 2012 at CrossFit 24. She loves the constant challenge, the community atmosphere and opportunity to push through obstacles and help others discover the athlete inside of them. Bonnie completed Level 1 Trainer Certification in August 2013 and began coaching soon afterwards. She is married to Steve, who also is a CrossFit 24 athlete and has three boys (Micah, Nathan and Julian) who tear it up at CrossFit Kids regularly. It is a great pleasure to be part of the CrossFit 24 team of athletes.
One of her favorite quotes is “It doesn’t get easier, you just get stronger.”
